Joe Robbins
Powerlifting and anti-fragile, age-well strength.
A competitive powerlifter and strength coach from the UK, Joe has coached powerlifting athletes ranging from novice to national level. He has worked with clients of all ages, from teens to seniors.
His training philosophy focuses on barbell movements with an emphasis on proper technique, effective personalized programming, consistency, and recovery, all with the aim of achieving long-term success and minimizing injury risk.
His advocacy of strength training for all, centers on the idea of being anti-fragile: building confidence, mental resilience, physical strength, and movement proficiency. As we grow older, we also need to mitigate age-related muscle and bone density loss through load bearing exercises.
Joe’s background as an educator and personal struggles with autoimmune disease make him a knowledgeable and compassionate teacher. His ability to break down, explain, and demonstrate foundational strength movements, whilst understanding individual’s personal challenges has proven transformational for his clients.
